Now that’s pretty sick in light of all this Newtown Connecticut craziness. But the blog-o-sphere is a buzz with the incident. Luckily I mostly follow liberal bloggers so I’m not hearing all the bull-shit from the Right, and that’s a relief.
Since I did a somewhat serious piece about Newtown on my Hansi’s Hallucinations blog, I figure I could just space out and write whatever comes to mind.
Oh yeah, about the above drawing, I did it two years ago from an actual Target ad of a young kid playing with a Nerf Machine Gun. How cool, sure wish I had one of the babies when I was a kid, I’d be mowin’ down Krauts and Japs just like John Wayne. Anyway, I did it for a post about Nerf guns and how we are, maybe, just slightly teaching our kids war?
Well today I don’t wanna get into all that, but I did wanna show off this drawing. One of my favorites. Lately, a lot of my Hansi drawings have been quick, sketchy ink scribblings, not finished much. Hence the personal need display my draftsmanship skills, or lack thereof, as proof that I really can draw…when I want to, and only when I want to…so there.
